Openwave Mobility, international leader in mobile network optimization and mobile data charging, and Waseela team up to extend their services to mobile operator customers in the Middle East region
Dubai: Waseela, the leading telecom system integrator and managed services provider in the MENA region, announced today the expansion of its technology partnerships to include Openwave Mobility’s advanced Congestion Control and Mobile Data Charging solutions, extending the scope of Waseela’s offering to 3G and 4G mobile operators in the Middle East region.
Based on this partnership, Waseela will be providing system integration services, pre-sale services and post-sales services for the Congestion Control and Mobile Data Charging solutions from Openwave Mobility to mobile operators in the Middle East region. Openwave Mobility’s Congestion Control is a mobile network optimization solution which empowers mobile operators to simultaneously optimize both the cost and quality of video and web traffic across their network. Its Mobile Data Charging solution is an advanced Policy Control and Charging (PCC) solution that enables operators to develop customized price plan offerings and to promote them to target subscriber segments.
The two companies are jointly demonstrating the state-of-the-art mobile network optimization and mobile data charging technology at Waseela’s booth at GITEX 2012. This demonstration is of critical importance at this time due to the significant growth in Smartphone market penetration across the Middle East region. “We are pleased to work with a specialized system integrator like Waseela. With this expansion of our network of partners, we are able to provide our Middle East customers with more reliable access to our solutions on a turnkey basis and with local engineering support.” said John Giere, CEO and President at Openwave Mobility.
“Mobile network optimization and mobile data charging solutions are of great importance to our telecom operator customers in the Middle East region. We are witnessing exponential growth in Smartphone usage and video consumption over mobile networks, which are squeezing mobile network capacities and threatening ROI rates. Congestion-aware network optimization from Openwave Mobility combined with mobile data charging form one of the most comprehensive solutions for improving ROI for mobile operators in the Middle East region.” said Dr. Samer Taha, Chief Executive Officer at Waseela. Dr. Samer added that Waseela packages this advanced technology from Openwave Mobility with its pre-sale, integration and post-sale services to facilitate and ensure the reliability of the end-to-end delivery of the solution.
